We have been manufacturing wooden horse stables since 1983. Over the subsequent years, our original designs have been continuously improved in consultation with vets, horse trainers, equestrian champions and many of our customers. This has resulted in our current portfolio of informed and thoughtfully designed stables: the Intro, Ideal and Elite stable ranges.

Our Unique Plinth System

Our clients love our unique Plinth System for its durability and practicality. Consisting of a galvanised steel plinth and a quality damp-proof course, the plinth system protects the bottom of your new building.

We advise against brick plinths as these become damp, move, and crumble, especially from horses’ hooves.

It is important to ensure the concrete is the correct size; therefore, a base plan will be sent to you upon confirmation of the order.

  • What vehicles do you use for delivery?

    We have various sized vehicles from a 7.5-ton large van-sized lorry up to a 28-ton articulated lorry.

  • I require bespoke sizes. Can you incorporate them into the design?

    Yes, as a manufacturer with our own design team, we can manufacture to any required size.

  • I have existing stables I'd like to add onto. Can you join the existing units?

    Yes! We have many years of experience expanding existing stables.

  • We need something to house an animal as soon as possible. Can you help?

    As a family that puts animals’ welfare at the top of our list, we will always do all that is possible to accommodate your requirements.

  • Do I need planning permission to build a stable?

    Yes, unless the building is located within the curtilage of your garden. We have a planning department that can advise you from start to finish.

  • Does Jon William Stables construct the stable?

    Yes! Our team has been building wooden garages since 1965 and are fully trained to ensure we provide the best possible finish.
