CONSTRUCTION
Free construction is carried out by our fully trained staff rather than sub-contractors within a 50-mile radius of our workshop in Netherstreet, Chippenham, Wiltshire. Please contact us for delivery charges outside of this area.
All sections are bolted together.
Fixing to the sledge, heavy-duty anchor brackets are welded to the sledge and cross beams. We use an 80mm coarse threaded bolt to secure the building to the sledge.
All fixings are fully galvanised.

SLEDGE
Fully galvanised steel sledge 80 x 80 x 5mm & 80 x 40 x 6mm box section under all walls. Anti Flex Gussets located at the corners? externally for safety. Two 50mm diameter galvanised steel tow bars can be used at either end. Stronger & safer than straps or chains.
HEIGHT
The eaves measure 2180mm (7’2″), and to the ridge, 2945mm (9’8”), including the galvanised steel sledge.
TREATMENT
All internal and external timber is pressure treated with Tanalith E™ wood preservative for longevity against fungal decay & insect attack. Not including boards.

Intro and Ideal Range, 75mm x 50mm (3” x 2”) C16/C24 stress graded @ 610mm (2′) centres.
Elite Range, 100mm x 50mm (4″ x 2″) C16/C24 stress graded @ 610mm (2′) centres.
Please note that many other manufacturers choose the smaller dimensioned 3” x 2” CLS (Canadian Lumber Standard), which is only 2.1/2”x 1.1/2”. As wood is a natural product, thicker means stronger, and therefore your building will last longer with a thicker frame.
SHIPLAP CLADDING
We only use top quality 5th-grade Scandinavian redwood, fully tanalised for longevity against fungal decay & insect attack.

ROOF COVERING
Our standard offering is black Onduline with a minimum 15-degree pitch.

Ideal and Elite Range, lined with 11mm OSB for additional strength and longevity, lined Onduline roof also provides a cooler environment in the summer and warmth in the winter months.

Fully supported by a prefabricated plated truss.

GUTTERING
We use a half-round black guttering and include downpipes at both ends of the building.

KICKBOARDS
Intro Range, 11mm All stables are lined to 1220mm high and include noggins to prevent objects from dropping behind. As standard, we use OSB moisture resistant (Oriented Strand Board), manufactured to BS5669.

STABLE DOORS
Intro Range, Bottom doors are 1235mm wide with a height of 1220mm and 62mm thick. Bottom doors are lined with 11mm OSB BS5669 moisture-resistant board & fitted with an anti-bite strip and kick-over latch. All doors are hung with 450mm hinges fastened with 150mm Brenton pad bolts for additional strength. Held open and secured with a cabin hook. All doors extend to ground level. All ironwork is fully galvanised for protection against the elements. Top doors can be fitted as an optional feature.
Ideal Range, Bottom doors are 1235mm wide with a height of 1220mm and 62mm thick. Bottom doors are lined with 11mm OSB BS5669 moisture-resistant board & fitted with an anti-bite strip and kick-over latch. The bottom doors are fitted with a kick-over latch. All doors are hung with adjustable hinges fastened with 150mm Brenton pad bolts for additional strength, held open and secured with a cabin hook. All doors extend to ground level. All frames and ironwork are fully galvanised for protection against the elements. Top doors included.
TACK ROOM DOORS

Tack room doors are 900mm wide and 50mm thick. Hung with 450mm hinges (Ideal Range are adjustable) fastened with 150mm Brenton pad bolts, held open and secured with a cabin hook. All doors extend to ground level. All ironwork is fully galvanised for protection against the elements.
Elite Range, Tack room doors are 900mm wide, steel framed with 150mm x 38mm Iroko hardwood inserts. Set in a steel door frame. All doors are hung with adjustable hinges and secured with a British Standard 5 lever mortice lock, held open and secured with a cabin hook. All frames and ironwork are fully galvanised for protection against the elements.
WINDOWS
Intro Range Hopper windows can be fitted as an optional feature.
Ideal Range, Windows measure 600mm wide x 675mm high; the standard 4-blade Louvre window both are fitted with galvanised steel bars for safety. These increase airflow to your stable without causing a draught, making a more comfortable environment for your horse.
Elite Range, Windows measure 745mm wide x 955mm high; the standard 6-blade Louvre window is fitted with galvanised steel bars for safety. Providing increased airflow to your stable without causing a draught, making life better for your horse.
VENTILATION
Intro Range, Continuous ridge and eave vents.
Ideal Range & Elite Range, Alongside the continuous ridge vent, we have created a unique arbour vent for our stables that is fitted under the overhang. Jon William Stables are market leaders for well-ventilated stabling. This makes the building not only better for your horse but will make it last longer too.
DAMP PROOF COURSE
The DPC is fitted to the underside of all sole (bottom timber) plates.
